TEB Ayazağa School Project
A Learning Environment Designed for the Future
The TEB Ayazağa School Project represents a forward-thinking approach to educational architecture, where the built environment becomes a silent partner in the development of young minds. Located in one of Istanbul’s rapidly growing urban districts, the school is designed to foster creativity, concentration, and community.
This project is not only a space for instruction, but also a carefully planned environment where form supports function and daylight becomes part of the learning process.
Architectural Concept
The design is guided by clarity, accessibility, and spatial flexibility. The building is structured to respond to the daily rhythms of students and educators, ensuring that every square meter supports interaction, exploration, and focus.
Natural light penetrates deep into the classrooms through large windows and strategically placed courtyards, reducing artificial lighting needs and enhancing student well-being. Circulation areas are wide, inviting, and visually connected, ensuring safety and openness throughout the facility.
Interior Design & Functionality
The interiors are designed to support both structured learning and informal engagement.
- Classrooms are modular and adaptable, equipped to accommodate different teaching methods and group sizes.
- Shared spaces such as libraries, workshops, and gathering zones are planned to encourage collaboration, curiosity, and independent thinking.
- Color and material palettes are kept neutral and natural, with subtle use of accents to promote a calm yet stimulating environment.
Special attention has been paid to acoustic performance and indoor air quality, which are essential for maintaining a focused, healthy learning atmosphere.
